Information we collect
When a product is submitted, we receive its website URL and the bid amount. We fetch publicly available website metadata such as its title, description, and logo. Our hosting and security providers may also process standard technical data including IP address, browser type, timestamps, and request logs. Claimrank stores your theme preference and a random anonymous visitor identifier locally in your browser. The identifier is hashed before storage in our database and its last-active time is used only to estimate total visitors and how many are currently online.
Payments
Checkout is provided by PayPal, which processes payment details, billing information, receipts, and fraud checks under its own privacy terms. Claimrank receives transaction identifiers, status, amount, and limited customer information needed to reconcile a bid; it does not store full card details.
Public information
Submitted product URLs, extracted metadata, bid amounts, rank, placement time, and click counts are shown publicly. Do not submit a URL or product information you do not want associated with the leaderboard.
How information is used
We use information to validate websites, run checkout, publish rankings, prevent abuse, count outbound clicks, troubleshoot the service, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and international processing
Data may be processed in countries other than your own by our infrastructure providers, including Vercel, Neon, and PayPal. We retain public listing and payment reconciliation records for as long as reasonably needed to operate Claimrank, meet tax and accounting duties, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
Your choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information. Public ranking and transaction records may need to be retained when required for legitimate business, tax, fraud-prevention, or legal reasons.
